What a weekend!

Well...I went to the craft show, but...not too many people showed up. I think they only had an ad in the paper twice. Oh well...I wasn't out anything. MIL paid for my table and it was only $10. I am going to try another one at a local church on November 4th. At least I don't have to make a lot of stuff for it. Everything is already made. I did sell some of my broom corn, all my twinkies, and most of the truffles. Everyone loved my items, but not enough to purchase I guess. Hopefully this next show will be more publicized. Plus it will be closer to the holidays.

Besides the craft show I dropped off our rent check to Becky. She is the one in charge of running the rental and all. After we moved in Ralph..the owner... passed away and Becky took over. Well...I guess things are not going well. Her sister wants "her money." She wants the property sold by Dec. 31 of this year. So...Becky didn't say we had to move out, but I think it would be best. (She would have liked us to be able to stay for 5-10 years) Becky is discouraged because she was hoping they could hold onto it because her boys wanted a piece of the property. Well I guess the sister already contacted an auctioneer and he said he would bring developers in. How sad to see almost 300 acres go to a developer. But...that would bring in the most money. Isn't it funny how people want "their money" from an inheritance when they really haven't done anything to earn it except be born to that person. If my parents leave me something..that's fine, but if not..that is fine to. My family is doing just fine. We are not planning on using the "inheritance" to purchase anything big. I don't know..is it just me? Well I should probably get back to work. At least now as I sort through things I can put them in boxes to prepare for a move again.

I love those socks! How do you do them? I would love to make some for my three daughters.

I just sc around the edge of the sock and then made up a edging as I went. The socks are stretchy enough and "holey" enough to get the steel hook through. I loved making them.

Melanie, your items look great. Too bad all the twinkies went. =) I am sorry you have to move, but I am even sorrier for Becky. To have a greedy sister that will not wait and possibly let a family farm stay in the family. That is what motivates too many people in this world... The love of money and greed. Any ideas on where you will move to?

By the way, they are doing Garage sales on my street on the 13th and 14th of this month. So, if you have things you want to get rid of while sorting, come on over.

Thanks for the info Marci. Not sure where we will move. Hope to stay close to Fredericktown so Brian is close to work.
