Are You Ready?

A friend of mine, Marci, blogged earlier this week about people she knew of dieing. There was a 16 year old girl that died in a car accident. Well I just got a phone call today of a man I know that died. See...he lived across the street from my in-laws and his son and my hubby were good friends growing up. . Anyway....his body was found in the river today. He was drunk, walking home, and apparently fell off of a bridge. I don't know what was going through his mind the last moments of his life. All I can say is that I hope that he was making his life right with our Lord and Saviour. His son...has always had questions for my hubby, but there has always been something holding him back. I pray that this will give him the "push" he needs to realize that he needs Christ. So I ask that you think about those you come and contact with (especially those on a regular basis) and make sure you share the Lord with them today. And make sure you know our Lord too. Life is too short and

DD Birthday Dress

Image
DD's birthday isn't for another month, but we had her party this past weekend with my inlaws. It was a "joint" birthday party with her Papa. Since his birthday was the 20th and hers is the 24th of March it makes it easier to just have one party instead of one this month and one next month. Her is a picture of the cake I made for her. What do you think? I was very pleased with the way it turned out. The next pictures...some of you may recognize her birthday dress. I finished it this past fall, but it was too big for her because I purposefully made it that way so she could have a special dress for her birthday. Well, I put it on her and I was surprised how much weight she has gained in the past few weeks. I didn't know if it would fit, but it worked out alright. But she won't be in it much longer I am afraid. She really loves hats! I still can't get over how cute she is in this outfit, but I am just a little biased. ;)

Go Figure!

I just had to share this with you all. The other night when I was nursing Little "E", our eldest son hurt himself when he was playing with Hubby. Well, hubby was hugging on him and giving him attention and kissing his "BooBoo". Hubby then watched our daughter walk over to the door and purposely hit her head on the frame. Well, she started crying and went over to Hubby looking for sympathy! Can you believe it? Hubby couldn't believe what he was seeing. I think my MIL is right...our daughter is the one we are going to have to "watch out" for. ;) Just thought I would share that episode with everyone.

Happy Birthday Hubby!

Image
I am a day late, but I wanted to wish my Hubby a happy birthday (it was yesterday). I feel bad that I wasn't able to do much for him. I usually cook a "special" dinner and have balloons and stuff, but I didn't accomplish that this year. Oh well, I am sure he understands. ;) This Saturday there is a party at my In-laws for Hubby and DD (dd's birthday is in about 5 weeks). So my mil is making my Hubby's cake and I am making DD birthday cake. I will take a picture and try to post it for you all to see. As long as it comes out okay. ;) Well. HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUBBY! I love you and so does the "Trio."

Are you Jealous?

Image
Just thought I would talk about my little man some. Hubby said when other mom's hear this they will be jealous. Well, for the past week we have been able to get quite a bit of sleep, except for hubby's coughing. For 2 nights I feed our little man at 10:00 and he didn't awake and eat again until 5 or 5:30 in the morning. Well, last night I fed him at 10:30pm...he fell asleep about 11:30 and didn't wake up until 7:00 this morning!!!!! Talk about a blessing. Hubby and I got almost 8 hours of sleep! Really, he is the easiest so far of my three. He is on a schedule of eating every 2-3 hours (he put himself on it too) With the other two I had to work to get them on a schedule and this little guy is already on one. I can't tell you how much of a blessing he has been in our lives already! Also, my parents, sister, and her boyfriend came up today to bring the meat I ordered and to have lunch with us. They stayed for about 4 1/2 hours and mother was such a blessing to me. She

Good Day for a Cry

Image
Oh my, what a day we had today. We had to take this sweet little guy into the doctor for his circumcision today. I think it was much harder on me then it was on him. Well...at least he will not remember it, but I will. I couldn't watch and I just about started to bawl! Hubby was able to hold his hand and encourage him to suck on a pacifier to try and help. Plus..it didn't help when he wouldn't stop bleeding. So, Mama took it pretty hard today. Then I had trouble with my oldest son. He has a terrible habit of waiting until he is about ready to "explode" to tell me that he has to go to the bathroom. Well, I don't move as fast as I did a week and a half ago and we ended up having two messes to clean up. I can't believe my little guy is already 8 days old. It is almost scary how fast time goes by. I hold this little guy as much as I can. My oldest will be 4 this summer and it doesn't seem possible! Well, as usual I need to take care of my lovely children

How about a Picture?

Adjustment

Well as you can all imagine our family is going through an adjustment period. The children are doing very well actually. I am very proud of them. They are "wound" tight...not enough outlet for more active play. I wish I could send them outside, but it has just been too cold and I don't know if I could bundle them up real well...That takes a lot of effort. ;) Our newest addition seems to be adjusting very well also. He is a "lazy" eater, but he is getting better everyday. He is such a blessing. I still can't believe he is here. It is all so overwhelming sometimes...thinking of this little life being given to me by God to raise for him. It is such an honor. Speaking of honor...I should go to my little one now. Blessings to all.

More pics

Just thought I would share a couple more pictures of our new son. Here is a pic of myself with DS#1 checking the "new brother" out. Here DD gets to help the midwife check her little brother out. If you had watching my ticker...he was born on his due date around 2:30 in the afternoon. It was about a 13 hour labor. He weighed 8 lbs 8 oz and is 21 inches long. He is pretty much the same size his brother and sister were when they were born. Well...I am off to take care of my little one and try to get some rest! Blessings to all!

DS made his arrival!

It's Time!

Yes...you read that right. I am finally in labor and it is on the actual due date too! Just wanted to let everyone know. Marci...you will probably get a call from Mrs. M this afternoon and if you don't call her! I have a feeling I won't be into talking a whole lot! Please pray for me as this is always a trying time. Blessings to all.

Our Weekend

Image
Well, as you can tell the baby has not made his/her arrival yet. That is okay though. We had fun this weekend. Here are some pictures of our Fun Dough weekend. The children had never played with the stuff and they had an absolute ball! Not sure if Hubby or DS had more fun though. The picture to the left is of Hubby and DS sword fighting with their dough men. Although it appears DS forsook the actual dough man and went after Papa's guy as a giant. The next picture of DD watching her Bubby and Papa "fight it out". You can see her yellow creation on her tray. She is a budding artist! ;) Can you tell what the animal is in the next picture? It is my wonderful creation....my snail. ;) I thought it was pretty good. I never really got creative with this stuff, but I am proud of this little guy. Hopefully the more I play with the fun dough with the children I will become more creative. We will just have to wait and see. This awesome creation of a T-Rex head was done by my wonder

Nope...Not yet

As you can tell...I haven't had the baby yet. Just still waiting around. I think this is the biggest I have been out of my 3 pregnancies. Although I never really got "huge." I have such a long torso that I don't really show all that much until right before the baby is born. Hubby wanted a picture of my belly the other night...so I let him. I don't think I got a belly shot with DD. I think I did with DS, but have no idea where it is. It's just a waiting game. As it usually is with my pregnancies. That's okay I guess. I just pray when it is time the roads won't be icy so the midwife can make it here safely and on time! I have also been asked about the progress of my son's blanket. Well.. Here is a picture taken today. I have 77 rows done. 93 rows left to do. I couldn't figure out why the pictures were kind of hazy when I downloaded them all from the camera. Come to find out there was a nice "fingerprint" on the lense. I think one of the
