No Change

Unfortunately I can not report that Beloved's knee is getting better. The day after he got the prescriptions...he could bend his leg a little more. I think it is because some of the swelling went down. But as for the pain.....he is in so much pain everyday. He can't take his pain pills when he goes to work because they tend to make him "loopy." And there isn't a good way to elevate his leg and to ice it while working. Today, per my request, he is only working a half day so he can rest a while before we go to a Volunteer Dinner. Anyway, just wanted to let you all know. Please pray for my husband....to give him the strength to get through this time.

Knee Update

First...Big T didn't get sick anymore that day. It must have just been a one time thing or something. Anyway, Beloved went to the doctor. He determined that it was not dislocated and the ligaments on the outside of the knee are fine. He said there are 2 possibilities. One...it can be a really bad sprain that will take 2 weeks to heal. Or two....he tore his ACL and that would require surgery as it does not heal itself. So....We are praying hard that it is the first option. We have given it all over to the Lord and are doing or best to find joy during this time. It was hard at first to rejoice, but it is easier now. Anyway, Just wanted to let you all know what is going on. :D

Always something.....

Well, I was planning on updating earlier this week, but I have been having trouble resizing my photos and such. Anyway, I was going to do it today but it will have to wait. Beloved fell on his "bad' knee last night and is in a good amount of pain. He is at the doctor's right now and hopefully I will here something from him soon. And....Big T threw up this morning, but (before it happened) now he shows absolutely no signs of being sick. He is actually very hungry. Go figure. Just thought I would let you all know what is going on in the household. :D

Yes Ginny, I am here. But you should know that we have had a lot going on the past two weeks. ;) But, she is right. I better get to showing something! Ginny and Keturah know that my front porch light came crashing down a couple of weeks ago. When I say "crashing"....I mean CRASHING! I went to change the light bulb and the fixture just fell. The old aluminum wiring just snapped. Anyway, my Beloved took on the daunting task of not only putting in a new light fixture, but replacing the wire from the light to the switch, and then the switch to the outlet. :D This is what hubby had to start off with on the switches. And now....I have new switches, a new outlet, and a new porch light! I love my new porch light! Thanks Hubby! You can see where Beloved had to tear a piece of wood off to get the wire through, but that is not a big deal. I know it's silly, but it was so exciting to get this done. ;) For one.....because we needed it and two....the house will be ours as of 8 pm tonig

Show and Tell Friday (4/11)

Image
Welcome to "Show and Tell Friday!" Do you have a something special to share with us? It could be a trinket from grade school, a piece of jewelry, an antique find. Your show and tell can be old or new. Use your imagination and dig through those old boxes in your closet if you have to! Feel free to share pictures and if there's a story behind your special something, that's even better! Oh my, I haven't participated in Show and Tell for too long. Today I thought I would show a find. Beloved took yesterday afternoon off to be with us, so we thought it would be good to try a used furniture store in another town and then we looked at the Flea Market in town. Well...no dressers were found for Big T but we did find something else. We found this awesome wooden pirate ship for only $15. Most of the pieces seem to be there. We just need to get it together. Here you can see how tall it is next to Big T and Little E. Big T is so excited! I did some searching on the internet

Count Your Blessings Monday (4/7)

Image
"I am giving us an opportunity every Monday to not only count our blessings, but to share them with others. This is a way that we can encourage one another. Make a post on your blog telling us about your blessing. Please put a link back to this post ( on her blog ). You can add the URL of your blog post on Mr. Linky below. Many of our blessings we will have pictures of and we can share those as well. I think that many times we forget that it is a blessing to be able to breath, to get out of bed, to hold a baby... Share your blessings with us. They encourage others. We can share so many other things.... special gifts, recipes, let's take the time to share how God has blessed us!! - Marci " Today I wanted to thank the Lord for the seasons that he blesses us with. Summer provides us with many goodies from the garden; autumn has gorgeous colors and crisp air; winter washes everything white with snow; and spring...gives us hope of things new. It is such a blessing to see all t

Twists and Turns

Isn't it amazing how you can be going along in your day, just like you always do, and then just one itsy, bitsy tiny thing happens....And then it all changes. When I say little...I do mean little. As in something around an 1/8th of an inch. Big T and Sweet E were playing downstairs and then next thing I knew Big T was screaming about his toe. Well, I looked at his toe and didn't notice anything. He was walking funny as he went back into the other room and just kept complaining about the pain. After looking closer I discovered what appeared to be a sliver of glass in the ball of his foot. I have absolutely no idea where this little triangle shape piece came from, but it didn't matter at this point. I needed to get it out and he wasn't about to let me. Beloved told me to soak his foot in warm water to help soften the skin up. I thank the Lord that Beloved only works about 20 minutes away from home. He came home and helped to get the piece out. It's amazing how strong

Doily, Headstands, and Bumblebees

Image
Interesting title, isn't it? ;) Well, first off I wanted to show the doily I made for Sweet E's hope chest. My plan is to make her something every year for her birthday to put in her hope chest. So far she has three doilies (and some thread dresses that I made for her.) Isn't the hook I crocheted it with gorgeous! Thanks Amy ! Next is Little E's newest trick. I just think it is hilarious! Next, is a project that the children did. What can you do with icing, cardstock, M&M's and candy eggs? Make bumblebees of course!
