Count Your Blessings Monday (10/29)

Image
"I am giving us an opportunity every Monday to not only count our blessings, but to share them with others. This is a way that we can encourage one another. Make a post on your blog telling us about your blessing. Please put a link back to this post. You can add the URL of your blog post on Mr. Linky below. Many of our blessings we will have pictures of and we can share those as well. I think that many times we forget that it is a blessing to be able to breath, to get out of bed, to hold a baby... Share your blessings with us. They encourage others. We can share so many other things.... special gifts, recipes, let's take the time to share how God has blessed us!! -Marci" I have never taken the time to take part of this....I don't know why, I just haven't. Today I decided is the day. The Lord has given me so many blessings that it is hard for me to imagine. I decided I wanted to share the blessing of getting to enjoy Autumn. Out of all of the seasons, Autumn is my

Show and Tell Friday (10/26)

Welcome to "Show and Tell Friday!" Do you have a something special to share with us? It could be a trinket from grade school, a piece of jewelry, an antique find. Your show and tell can be old or new. Use your imagination and dig through those old boxes in your closet if you have to! Feel free to share pictures and if there's a story behind your special something, that's even better! Yesterday I was in our side yard raking up a pile of leaves for Sweet E to play in and I saw something out of the corner of my eye. It was bright red. I looked down and saw three bright red objects in the grass. I picked them up....I have never seen these before. We are thinking they may possibly be wild strawberries, but are unsure since we have no prior experience with them. (really have no clue as to what they actually are.) And...what in the world would they be doing in the yard at the end of October! I just wanted to share pictures to see what everyone else thought. I thought it wa

Who Knew?

Who knew that wood floors are hard to sleep on? I mean...I always thought they would be comfy cozy....NOT! Well, a couple of weeks ago Sweet E had a fever for 4 days (no other symptoms) and then a few days later Big T and Little E got it. Same thing...just a fever...nothing else. Little E's was over in 2 days, but Big T's lasted for 5 days! His temp was at 104 at one point. Now....hubby is sick. Doctor says it is tonsillitis. I can not afford to get sick....so I haven't been sleeping in bed with Hubby. But...I don't want to sleep downstairs in case on of the children needs help during the night and I can't sleep in their rooms because I may wake them up since I go to bed later and sometimes get up in the night. So...I have made a bed on the wood floor in our bedroom. Sure hope hubby gets over this soon. But I guess it is good training for mission work if God ever decides to send me. :D

I thought I would show these pictures that my hubby took one morning we he arrived at work. I think it was either Tuesday or Wednesday. I wish I had a picture uploaded of when I was in Israel...I saw a beautiful rainbow over the city of Capernum (I think that was the city it was at.) Rainbows are just so fascinating.....Don't you think? Now..I am off to see what everyone else has today. :o)

No...Not the Peel!!!!

My, oh my...what a weekend we have had. First of all...the crazy weather! I know Ohio's weather is always strange, but this hot 90 degree weather needs to go! Anyway, after our church service at the retirement center yesterday we took the children out to eat. While the older two were playing I was feeding Little E a banana. He seems to do just fine with the banana, no reactions or anything. Well, he somehow got his little fingers on the banana peel and started chewing on it. I took it from him and went back to talking with Hubby. Then we both looked at little E and he was all red and blotchy! So...he can eat the banana, but not the peel. :D What a crazy thing. Not like he should be eating the peel anyway I just don't know for sure what is making him break out. Oh yeah...after all of that we thought we had lost our digital camera. Not fun! We went searching and making calls only to finally find it at home once we arrived after our long day. When Little E got his diaper changed

Feel free to share pictures and if there's a story behind your special something, that's even better! When we went to the Fall Festival a couple of weeks ago Hubby bought the children wooden swords. They have had so much fun with those...pretending to be knights, pirates, and soldiers. Well, hubby decided that he could make them just as well or better. So here is a finished sword made by hubby. (He actually ended up making seven!) Our local leather shop cut out the pieces for us which cut down on our work tremendously. Hopefully I can show off one that is much bigger soon. Hubby decided that he needs some protection from Big T and Sweet E so he is making himself one. :) **This wasn'

Scrumptiously Sweet Cape Ensemble

I finished this awhile ago, but am just now able to share with you. Sweet E really likes it and I hope you do to. It's really quick and easy AND the yarn I used is nice and cozy. You can find the baby pattern here and the toddler pattern here. Anna has some wonderful designs. I am working on something else for her that I hope I can show very soon. :o)

Playing Catch Up

I know...I have been bad lately on updating this blog. I apologize...will you all forgive me? :o) About a week and a half ago my parents came up and went with us to Malabar Farm for the Fall Festival. Malabar was the home of the author, Louis Bromfield. I only ended up taking a few pictures. So I apologize to you all that there are not more...will have to ask my Mom for some. She is always snapping pictures. :) So here are pictures of Big T riding "Beauty" (yeah..I didn't get a good shot of the horse) and Sweet E riding on "Chief". Grandpa Walked with Sweet E to make sure she didn't pull a "Tumbleina" and fall off. :o) They loved it. When Big T got on he immediately had a HUGE smile on his face...so much so that he couldn't say anything. :) He really loves horses. (Reminds me that I need to get back to the blanket I started a year ago and haven't touched since Little E was born.) There is so much to do there. They have a civil war encampme
