Candle By Night

It's a very special day. Special K is now two years old! It's amazing how fast two years fly on by. She is my adorable, sweet, and lovable baby girl. I am so blessed to be her Mama. = ) Minutes old... About a week (maybe two) old 1 year old 2 years old

My 6 year old! Okay, I should have posted this ages ago. I know, I know. Shame on me for not being able to catch up with posting. But at least I am getting to it now. ;-) She asked for a doll cake again, but requested that it be pink this time. When I look at the picture from last year (the blue) and this year I can't help but remember the final scene in sleeping beauty (the Disney version). She loved all of her presents but the ultimate present was this princess dress from Nana S. Of course Big T step right in front of me when I went to snap the picture! She loves playing princess and this was just the greatest thing. Nana S worked hard on getting this made and even has an injury to show for it. ;-) I don't have any better pictures of the rest of her gifts. Had a hard time keeping Big T out of the way! Crazy boy........  She has used her stationary from Grandma K a LOT since her birthday. This little girl absolutely loves to write letters. So, not a massive post abo...

I can't believe it. It's almost impossible to believe that Sweet E went from this.......to...... . 1 week old 1 year old 2 years old 3 years old 4 years old 5 years old 5 1/2 years old  this. She has grown up so much! Happy 6th Birthday Sweetie! I love you so much. God has blessed our family by giving you to us. You are growing up into such a beautiful, sweet little lady. :-)

Boy, I sure have a lot to catch up on. I am afraid to say it.......no one is sick in our home. I don't want to say it, fearing that it could change any minute. :-) We have had sickness in this home since Christmas time. Beloved and Big T were on antibiotics the other week (Makes the 4th time since the first of November for Beloved.) Can't wait for spring to come and the children can play outside more often! Between being sick and the weather, cabin fever is really bad in our home! But we did have a lot to keep us busy in February. February 7th was Little E's 4th birthday. This little boy can drive me crazy most days, but when I do get an "I love you" he melts my heart. (And let me just add that I am blessed to get an I love you from him once every two weeks. Yes, once again I am way behind on updating this site. I know. Excuses....excuses. But we have had sickness go through the house the past month. First up are the cake pictures from Special K's birthday. I did a take on Sweet E's 1st birthday cake. Here is a picture of Sweet E and her 1st birthday cake. I made a gluten free yellow/chocolate layer cake so Beloved could join in. I was going for more fall colors, but I ended up with fluorescent instead. :-(  I have to say that Special K's cake did turn out nicer. But I had to start somewhere right? And she wasn't sure what to do with the candle either.  But she sure loved eating cake for the very first time! The Saturday after her birthday was the Upward Soccer Celebration. There was a bonfire, hayrides, face painting, corn hole, jump house, giant soccer balls, and the local college radio station was there too.  The announced each of the teams and the children received a nice Upward backpack.   The Little ...

I can't believe it. My baby girl is one year old today! Where did the time go? To Special K: I am so happy to be your Mama. God has given me a very precious gift and a big responsibility. You are such a joy and blessing to our family. I can't imagine not having you around walking and giggling at your siblings. I love you so much!

At least I am not a month behind on posting pictures....right? :-) Big T's birthday happened to be the same day as the Easterday Reunion up at my BIL's house. So we took his cake up there to share with everyone. (I didn't want to make him wait for his cake) I am so glad that he liked his cake. I am curious what he will ask for next year though! Special K enjoyed playing inside Big T's tent. :-) Of course the pool was a big hit with all the children. :-) My SIL even started throwing water balloons. Little E thought that was great fun! You can even tell that their chickens are free range in this photo. See that feather? One of the many things Special K tried to put in her mouth. Yuck! Waiting for a ride on the four wheeler.
