Busy Day
Okay...I think I mentioned the other day about salvaging a glider rockers from our neighbors trash. Well...today I made the covers for the cushions for the chairs. We went out on Saturday, purchased new foam, cut it to the previous shape, and I then made the covers. Now...keep in mind this is the first time I have ever tried anything like this. Miss G will recognize it because I believe she still has curtains made out of this material. I should have known when I asked for hubby's opinion on the color of fabric he would say green. ;) He always says green! =) I still need to cover the ottoman, but I need to wait until hubby gets more staples for his staple gun. Covering the ottoman will be a lot quicker and much easier. This was really hard for me to try and stuff the foam inside the covers, but it didn't turn out too bad. I am pleased with it and now we can put it in our bedroom so we can rock the new one whenever he or she decides to arrive. ;)
I have a lot to do yet, but I wanted to share this verse with you all. Proverbs 12:22 says, "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine, but a broken spirit drieth the bones." Do you have a joyful heart? Also..do you know what the most effective "beauty aid" is..and it's free....Why..It's your smile! You would be amazed what a smile can do for you! Make a point to have a smile on your face throughout the day. You will be amazed at what it does for your soul and the smile it will even put on your spouse and children's faces...just because they see you are smiling. Blessings to all!
**Oh yes...I am still working on my son's afghan. I have 42 or 43 rows done now! Slowly but surely...I am making progress. =-)

That is lovely! Yes, I still have curtains of that fabric. It wears very nicely. You did a good job. Keep up the good work.
