Fleas!!!!

Yep...that's right...we are battling fleas. I know some of you may be wondering where in the world I have been lately. Well......I have had many long days battling these unwelcomed visitors. And no....the dog does not stay inside. They got in somehow and the poor dog is just having a terrible time with them. It was really bad the other day...Hubby went to check on the dog...only saw a few fleas, but then he lifted up his flea collar and a lot of fleas scattered. What is the point of a flea collar if it doesn't kill them!!!!!???? Hubby only saw one on Shad tonight though. Do you all remember this post? I talked about the numerous bites I had on my foot. A friend of mine mentioned that they might be flea bites, but I never saw any. Now Big T has bites all over his back, chest, and a few on his neck. They are starting to fade away now, but every once in a while he has a new one. I have only seen two fleas so far today. Sweet E had one on her this morning and I caught one on me this afternoon. Definitely better than it was a few days ago....but....I was just wanting to come on and let you all know that we are still alive. I am just really busy right now. I hope we can get rid of these things very soon!!!!

Do you remember my case with fleas last summer? I really feel for you. Fleas are no fun and are hard to get rid of once they are in the house. I wish you all the best of luck with those suckers.

Poor Melanie. I know how miserable that is. Michael got some sort of spray (yes it was chemicals) that he only sprayed one time and we had them bad. We never saw another one.

Go to Walmart in the pet area there is some stuff you put on your carpet and rugs. Leave it on for a couple of hours and then sweep and spray all of your furniture with riad flea spray. Then follow up in 5 days and again 5 days later you should be rid of them. My cat brought them in a couple weeks ago.

Also get frontline or advantage for the dog it will get rid of the fleas and ticks.

Advantage Flea Drops are a lifesaver! You get them from the vet and put them on the back of the dog's neck. We used it with our cats and we were literally flea free within days. No spraying, dusting, fumigating etc required. http://www.petshed.com/advantage.asp try this.

(oh and so you don't think I'm a crazy person or a spammer, I found your blog through another christian blog but I can't remember which one lol. Or it could have been the PH boards. I'm such a scatterbrain. All I know is that I love your blog and I think you're a lovely lady)

See...I thought the drops would be a good thing too, but our neighbor "treats" her cats once a month with the drops and her cats still have them....she is having a hard time getting rid of them too.
