Happy Father's Day to all the Fathers out there. May you have a blessed, God-Filled Day!


To my Wonderful Hubby- God has blessed me so much by giving you to me. You are such a wonderful father and a wonderful Husband. I couldn't ask for anything more. You are the leader of our home and I know our children will be raised in a home that loves the Lord with all of their hearts. We love you and we thank the Lord everyday for you. WE LOVE YOU PAPA!

To my Father: I pray that you have a wonderful day. We are sorry we could not see you. We miss seeing you. You are a wonderful father and grandpa! We Love you!

To my Father-In-Law: You are a wonderful man! Thank you for all that you do for us. We love you and can't wait to have some ice cream! :)




To My BIL- You are a wonderful father to your girls. God has blessed you so much and we pray that you will continue to strengthen your walk with him.

To my other BIL- Your family has been such a blessing to us. We pray that you will have a wonderful day and a God-filled year. (He seems to have the "touch" with babies.)

They have had so much fun with those...pretending to be knights, pirates, and soldiers. Well, hubby decided that he could make them just as well or better. So here is a finished sword made by hubby. (He actually ended up making seven!) Our local leather shop cut out the pieces for us which cut down on our work tremendously. Hopefully I can show off one that is much bigger soon. Feel free to share pictures and if there's a story behind your special something, that's even better! Today I am taking part in Kelli's Show and Tell and her Giving Thanks week. Last Saturday I had the chance to do something I had never done before. I put together a gingerbread house with my MIL and my children. My MIL made the gingerbread and then she had me help her assemble it and then decorate it. We didn't finish it all, but we hope to finish it this afternoon since she has the day off. I am pretty proud of myself. Next year maybe the children and I can do this as a school project/activity. So...here is the gingerbread house in all it's glory. I hope to post a finished

I did it!

Yes, I did get up at 5am this morning. Two days in a row, that is a HUGE deal for me. Let's see if I can keep this up (but probably not on Sundays). Tomorrow will be the test. I am not the type of person that can sleep in two days in a row and then get up on time through the week. I am going to try to only allow myself (at first) to sleep in one day a week. We will see how that goes. ;) But, my quiet time the past two mornings has been wonderful! It's amazing how it totally changes my day. Today I was thinking about smiling. Do you know that people are drawn to a smile? It's true. Think about it. When you are out in a store or just out on a walk...there is something about a smile from someone. I guess it gives me "hope" that there are actually people out there with joy in their heart. Gotta wonderful sometimes with all the scowls I see.
