SMART Habits Saturday

(Are you wondering what SMART Habits Saturday is? Just check it out here. I have been looking at Lara's website for a long time and finally decided to join in on this. )

Okay...I have been wanting to be a part of this for a long time. I finally decided...I just need to start. There are so many things I need to work on, but I am going to work on making our bed every morning. I did well at this for about a month (6 months ago, but have failed.) So I will start to make it a habit today! Wish Me luck......as I start my journey with my SMART Habits Saturday with you all. :) (I am just going to start with this one and add on each Saturday.)

This sounds great, Melanie! Good habits are a great thing! I had gotten in the good habit of making my bed every morning and then I got derailed. I used to love a freshly made bed. I have a white down comforter and my bed used to look like such an inviting cloud to sleep on when I made it. My dh loves it when I make the bed. I think of it as a gift to him when I do it. You have motivated me to begin anew. Sorry to be posting this anon but I'm your Secret Pal. I hope you are having a lovely day. :)
I never used to make my bed growing up, but now it's the first thing I do in the morning. I love how calm it makes me feel! Good luck this week.

making the bed is a good place to start! and welcome to SHS :O) i sort of cheat in making the bed. i just pull the sheet and covers up to the pillows, straighten, then pull them down half way and viola! i'm done. no tucking needed. it's quick, helps make the room seem neater and a good way to air out the sheets at the same time.

good luck!

It's amazing how much cleaner the bedroom looks when the bed is made. I only noticed this after I decided to make the bed one day and my DH said, "Wow! You cleaned the room!" Wish the rest of the rooms were as easy!

Welcome to SHS! This is my second week doing it. So far it's been a great motivator and people are very encouraging. Good luck with making your bed - that's one thing that I've never done consistently. Maybe I'll try that one of these weeks.

Here is mine!

Western. Like Midland, Western is another accent that people consider neutral. So, you might not actually be from the Western half of the country, but you definitely sound like it.

I actually am from the midwest so its kind of funny.
