Busy Week

I had a busy week..as I am sure most of you have. I sure know my friend Anna did. =) We went to visit my parents and my sister at my sister's house on Saturday. Spent a lot of time inside due to the rain, but the children handled it pretty well. I think Aunt S just about had a breakdown though...she is a clean freak and they kept making messes. :) (Wish I would have gotten that gene) Anyway, Hubby started to put my clothesline in the ground the day Big T got sick and we didn't have weather conducive to finishing the project until this week. He was able to put them in on Monday and I got to use them on Tuesday. Isn't it a beautiful sight?! =)
After tackling that Big T and I decided to wash the car on Tuesday. He was a big help. Now all we have to do is get it put in the paper. (Note to self- should contact the paper today or tomorrow) Hopefully we can get it sold to get money back into savings. Anyway....it was a lot of fun having him helped (The other two were sleeping at the time). Here are a few pictures that I just wanted to share of Big T, Sweet E, and some flowers.

We have all sorts of plants popping up around the house and the yard. Problem is that since I wasn't the one to plant....I am not sure what are weeds and what is not sometimes. So I am having to let them grow until I can figure out if it is a "weed" or not. Yesterday I had a very busy afternoon. While Sweet E and Little E were sleeping I went out and dug out two spots for our raised bed gardens (Soon to be gardens) Took a long time since there are a lot of rocks in the yard and I had two children inside I needed to check on, but I finally got it done. Now I just need to get the posts from my BIL to make the frames and then Hubby and I need to go to the farm to get fill dirt for them. A lot of work, but it will be well worth it. Mrs. M is going to provide me with some Mortgage Lifter Tomatoes (which are awesome) and I hope to have some lettuce and such. Not sure of anything else right now. This year is not going to be as big of a production as last year. (Last year I had a 50x50 foot garden!) So here is a picture of the spaces I dug out. Exciting I know. ;)
In this picture you can't see all the sod I dug up because my wonderful Hubby took that sod and "transplanted" it to other location in the yard that were bare. I sure hope they take. Well, thank you for looking and may the Lord Bless you today!

Looks like you have gotten a lot of things accomplished. I LOVE using my clothsline. I just put more cloths out this morning. :) And have another load almost ready to go out.

Your garden is coming along nicely. I, for one, can tell you that digging out sod like that is a LOT or work. (because I just did that last week. ;) ) I can't wait to see everything you plant.

Melanie, the garden spots look lovely. I love to see fresh places to plant things. What sort of poles are you going to use?

What is that pink flower you have a picture of?

My BIL has some left over fence posts that I can use...that is what Hubby tells me. Not sure what they are like. As for the flower...no idea. Your guess is as good as mine. Maybe I need you to come over some day and help me identify things. =)
