B's Graduation

It's hard to believe that our oldest niece, Miss B, graduated last Saturday. But here she is...leading the class (she was valedictorian!)

It wasn't too long ago that she was a junior bridesmaid in our wedding. She made sure to have perfect posture and a big smile through the whole ceremony. :-D


I did not attend the graduation ceremony. I stayed at the house with Little E and Special K. I wish I could have been there, but Beloved did a good job at getting lots of pictures for me. :-) Big T and Sweet E behaved well at the graduation and seemed to enjoy themselves.


Beloved did record her speech for me, but for some reason the sound is off on it. Not sure why, but I get the idea. :-)

Congratulations on your graduation Sweetie. We love you and are so proud of you. You are such a blessing to us. May God bless you and keep you as you prepare for college in the fall.

(He actually ended up making seven!) Our local leather shop cut out the pieces for us which cut down on our work tremendously. Hopefully I can show off one that is much bigger soon. Show and Tell and Giving Thanks

Last Saturday I had the chance to do something I had never done before. I put together a gingerbread house with my MIL and my children. My MIL made the gingerbread and then she had me help her assemble it and then decorate it. We didn't finish it all, but we hope to finish it this afternoon since she has the day off. I am pretty proud of myself. Next year maybe the children and I can do this as a school project/activity. So...here is the gingerbread house in all it's glory. I hope to post a finished

I did it!

Yes, I did get up at 5am this morning. Two days in a row, that is a HUGE deal for me. Let's see if I can keep this up (but probably not on Sundays). Tomorrow will be the test. I am not the type of person that can sleep in two days in a row and then get up on time through the week. I am going to try to only allow myself (at first) to sleep in one day a week. We will see how that goes. ;) But, my quiet time the past two mornings has been wonderful! It's amazing how it totally changes my day. Today I was thinking about smiling. Do you know that people are drawn to a smile? It's true. Think about it. When you are out in a store or just out on a walk...there is something about a smile from someone. I guess it gives me "hope" that there are actually people out there with joy in their heart. Gotta wonderful sometimes with all the scowls I see.
