Shopping and Food

My sister's wedding is coming up real quick! Everyone had their clothes for the special day except for me. Sweet E has her flower girl dress, Special K has a beautiful dress, and the boys (hubby too) have their suits. So I was starting to feel left out. ;-) My Mom took pity on me and went shopping with the girls and me. Sweet E was so patient with Mama. We found princess shoes for her first thing. Finding clothes for me took a LOT longer. So after lunch we let Sweet E enjoy some time in the play area. COSI had a shuttle, planets, and meteor for the children to play on. She had a lot of fun and so did Special K. Special K was more interested with the straw in Grandma's drink. ;-D

I will say that I found a pair of shoes that I LOVE! I haven't bought myself pretty shoes for a long time. And my skirt is flowy (is that even a word) and very long. I love it too. The top...I am not so sure about, but my Mom liked it a lot and I trust her judgment more than mine. LOL

I also wanted to share a couple of things I made in the kitchen recently. First up are cream cheese filled jalapenos wrapped in bacon. Hubby loved them! The first one was too hot for me, but I braved it and eat a second one. The second one was much more enjoyable and Big T likes them a lot too! So we will probably make them again tomorrow with some hot wings for supper.

Next up are some twice baked potatoes with broccoli, bacon and cheese added to the filling. Nothing special except I made all of these to put in the freezer. It's so nice to have this already prepared. And if I need something to add to supper I can thaw them a bit in the microwave and pop them in the oven to heat through. They are so good. I got the idea from my SIL. She brought some of these potatoes over after Special K was born and we put them in the freezer because we had a lot of food already. Hubby took some to work and heated them in the microwave. When he said they tasted really good I knew it would be a good thing to have in my arsenal. :-)

So there you have it! I will be posting some pictures later of Sweet E's 5th birthday. I plan on doing that this afternoon, but no guarantees. :-D (According the the ticker at the bottom of my page there are only 42 days until my sister's wedding!)

I am interested in your skirt, too. (And shoes! :P) I love twice baked potatoes. I didn't know you could freeze them. That would make things easier (sometimes). :)
