Signs of Spring


Wednesday through Friday were wonderfully warm days. The children loved being outside, but they also brought the outside inside with them. As you can see here Sweet E had a wonderful time outside. She said she was making mud soup.


And look at all the pretty flowers we found. :-)



And to my surprise I found a bee along with them.

I even caught the bee on video.

They have had so much fun with those...pretending to be knights, pirates, and soldiers. Well, hubby decided that he could make them just as well or better. So here is a finished sword made by hubby. (He actually ended up making seven!) Our local leather shop cut out the pieces for us which cut down on our work tremendously. Hopefully I can show off one that is much bigger soon. Yesterday I was in our side yard raking up a pile of leaves for Sweet E to play in and I saw something out of the corner of my eye. It was bright red. I looked down and saw three bright red objects in the grass. I picked them up....I have never seen these before. Last week he attended Bible school and Grandma S' church. The theme was Avalanche Rance and I know there are a LOT of churches doing this one. It fit him perfectly since he has a love of horses.
