Miss you....

This is an old picture, but I just wanted to let Beloved know that we love him and we miss him lots. He is out of the state for the day/night and won't be home till tomorrow evening. I know it's not long to some people but it feels like forever to the children...and me too! So...Hon.....if you see this......BE SAFE and I LOVE YOU!

Yes, we got a "new" van (compliments of a wonderful family that wanted to bless us). It is 3 years newer than the one we currently have and the air conditioning works! We haven't had air conditioning in either of our cars for 2 summers! Now...I just need to transfer everything from the other van and pray that we can get it sold. :D God is good....all the time!

**Update- after driving, praying, and giving it more thought. We like our old van much, much better. So we are praying to sell this "blessing" van so it can give us the funds we need to put air conditioning in our old van. :D We tried very hard to like the newer one, but we just kept finding more and more things that we didn't like.

Summer Fun.....more

Okay...I told you I had some other pictures to share. So....here goes. We purchased a Slip-n-Slid@ for the children this past spring, but Saturday was the first time we got it out. They LOVED it. The children couldn't quite get the hang of it. After a while they were asking Beloved for help. ;o)
Can you tell who the next picture is?
Never mind what Sweet E is wearing. She outgrew her swim stuff from last year so, yes...I put her in some of Big T's old stuff.
Little E didn't stay interested for too long.
My, oh my, who is that going down the slide? Yes......it's.....Me! Never mind that I exceed the age limit by 16 years and almost 100 lbs. :o)
Here I am telling Beloved, "NO", don't take my picture. I don't think he heard me.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Wow! I thought I fell behind before on pics, but today I realized I had about 100 pics on the camera that I hadn't downloaded yet. So...I thought I would do a summary of how our week went.

Sunday- Was our Anniversary...posted about it earlier. And the children had VBS with Nana
Monday- Good day to dig in the dirt and play under the bush. (Of course they couldn't stay clean for VBS with Nana. So..they had to get a shower before they left.)
Tuesday-VBS with Nana

Wednesday- Down to the river to pray, to throw a few rocks, and the privilege of witnessing two in our fellowship being baptized.
Thursday- Attend the closing presentation for VBS...Little E had to keep Grandpa busy. ;o) Oh...and a visit from "Cooper"...the favorite of the whole VBS week I think. :) Oh, I almost forgot...the children helped plant a tree in Honor of a very special lady who has helped with more VBS programs than anyone I know.
Friday- Go grocery shopping and watch a bug catch it's dinner. ;o)

I have some fun pictures to show, but that will have to wait till tomorrow or Monday.

Gotta Love the Park!

These are almost a week old, but I wanted to share some more pictures of the children at the park. It is such a blessing to have this park only a block and a half away. Which reminds me...need to get there once it cools down a little bit so the children can burn off more energy. :D
Yes, they are all in the "baby" swings. The older two wanted to be in swings like Little E. But, it did make it easier on me. ;o) Next are a couple of pictures of our first zucchini from the garden. Don't know how I missed some of those! Don't mind what Big T is wearing....he picked it out himself. :D

Count Your Blessings Monday (7/14)

"I am giving us an opportunity every Monday to not only count our blessings, but to share them with others. This is a way that we can encourage one another. Make a post on your blog telling us about your blessing. Please put a link back to this post (on her blog). You can add the URL of your blog post on Mr. Linky below. Many of our blessings we will have pictures of and we can share those as well. I think that many times we forget that it is a blessing to be able to breath, to get out of bed, to hold a baby... Share your blessings with us. They encourage others. We can share so many other things.... special gifts, recipes, let's take the time to share how God has blessed us!! -Marci"

Today was I had a very easy on which blessing to choose to share with you all. The blessing I want to share is my Beloved, my partner, my husband, my lover. We have been together for 9 years and 6 of them have been as husband and wife. I wouldn't change anything. We have been through a lot together and we have 3 beautiful children to show for it. I love you honey! (Pics were taken during a break from riding bikes on Sunday...shortly after I got stung by a bee!)
Hubby gave me a lovely bouquet of flowers. 6 yellow roses for 6 years. :D

Our 6th Wedding Anniversary!!!!!

(This is a somewhat of a repost from last year.)
Today is our 6th wedding anniversary! So much has happened in six years, but we have been together for almost 9years! (In September it will be 9 years since our first date). So, I wanted to take time to share some pictures with you. I have divided them up into groups: our engagement and our wedding.

I will first tell the story of our engagement. We had been together for 8 1/2 months when Hubby asked for my hand. And boy...was the proposal a good one. I had many friends jealous over this. That summer I was babysitting for 3 children and when I returned home from work I came home to an apartment filled (and I do mean FILLED!) with streamers and balloons. I think I had about a hundred balloons in my apartment and streamers were everywhere.

On the table were a dozen yellow roses (one of my utmost favorites) and a box. What was inside that box you say......It was a gorgeous black dress that he picked out for me and instructions to put on the dress and meet him at the place of our first meeting (we met on my college campus at Sonfest which is a Christian Concert type of event).

Anyway...I put on the dress and drove over to the college. Down in the grove there is a crick that has a bridge and on the bridge were more balloons and a note. That note had instructions to put on a blindfold. (Can you see the balloons on the bridge?)

Before I could put the blindfold on, a jogger came running by and said, "Am I interrupting?" So I put on the blindfold and I hear music playing and I hear hubby (well...boyfriend at the time) reading a poem to me that he had written. Then he had me take off the blindfold and asked me to marry him. I think I got my yes in there I was crying so hard. After this we went to his parents home and called my parents. Then it was off to a very nice restaurant called the Granville Inn. It was wonderful. It was a very beautiful place that I had never been to before. So anyway...that is my engagement story and now here are some of our "official" engagement pictures. Note that the black dress I am wearing is the one he gave to me the day he proposed.

Now...onto our wedding. We were married on July 13, 2002 (obvious I guess....) I graduated from college the end of May so I had a busy summer. Besides our wedding I think we had 4 or 5 others to go to. My friend from high school got married one week after us so we actually cut our honeymoon short a couple of days to make it back in time for hers. We got married in the town we live in now. The wedding was at the First Baptist Church and had our wedding reception at the Dan Emmett Conference Center . In this picture we are having a time of prayer after lighting the unity candle. You can see one candle in the lower left hand corner. All of our guests had candles and after we lit our candle we "passed on" the flame to the ushers who then passed the light on to the guests. It was such a beautiful sight. =)
Funny thing is...well maybe not funny...more like depressing....is that neither one of us can wear our rings. Never thought I would have to think about loosing weight in my fingers! ;)

Here is the nifty car we had the privilege of riding away in. Our friend hadn't even had the car for a month!

I just had to show a picture of our cake. This was one of my favorite things. It tasted wonderful too! (even a year later.)

Thanks for looking at my post today. Sorry it was so long but I would have loved to share more pictures. Actually if I can find one I will show a picture of my parent's wedding sometime. Why? Because the dress I wore belonged to my Mother. Blessings to all on this wonderful day!
