Candle By Night

This is an old picture, but I just wanted to let Beloved know that we love him and we miss him lots. He is out of the state for the day/night and won't be home till tomorrow evening. I know it's not long to some people but it feels like forever to the children...and me too! So...Hon.....if you see this...... BE SAFE and I LOVE YOU!

Don't leave the door to the dryer open. ;o) It's obviously a No-no, but it was so cute we had to snap a pic first.

Blessing! You won't believe what we got for $1! (well actually they just wanted to give it to us...but we paid them a dollar for it.) Can you guess?............... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Keep guessing.... . . . . . . . Yes, we got a "new" van (compliments of a wonderful family that wanted to bless us). It is 3 years newer than the one we currently have and the air conditioning works! We haven't had air conditioning in either of our cars for 2 summers! Now...I just need to transfer everything from the other van and pray that we can get it sold. :D God is good....all the time! **Update- after driving, praying, and giving it more thought. We like our old van much, much better. So we are praying to sell this "blessing" van so it can give us the funds we need to put air conditioning in our old van. :D We tried very hard to like the newer one, but we just kept finding more and more things that we didn't like.

Okay...I told you I had some other pictures to share. So....here goes. We purchased a Slip-n-Slid@ for the children this past spring, but Saturday was the first time we got it out. They LOVED it. The children couldn't quite get the hang of it. After a while they were asking Beloved for help. ;o) Can you tell who the next picture is? Never mind what Sweet E is wearing. She outgrew her swim stuff from last year so, yes...I put her in some of Big T's old stuff. Little E didn't stay interested for too long. My, oh my, who is that going down the slide? Yes......it's.....Me! Never mind that I exceed the age limit by 16 years and almost 100 lbs. :o) Here I am telling Beloved, "NO", don't take my picture. I don't think he heard me.

Wow! I thought I fell behind before on pics, but today I realized I had about 100 pics on the camera that I hadn't downloaded yet. So...I thought I would do a summary of how our week went. Sunday - Was our Anniversary...posted about it earlier. And the children had VBS with Nana Monday - Good day to dig in the dirt and play under the bush. (Of course they couldn't stay clean for VBS with Nana. So..they had to get a shower before they left.) Tuesday -VBS with Nana Wednesday - Down to the river to pray , to throw a few rocks, and the privilege of witnessing two in our fellowship being baptized. Thursday - Attend the closing presentation for VBS...Little E had to keep Grandpa busy. ;o) Oh...and a visit from "Cooper"...the favorite of the whole VBS week I think. :) Oh, I almost forgot...the children helped plant a tree in Honor of a very special lady who has helped with more VBS programs than anyone I know. Friday- Go grocery shopping and watch a bug catch it's dinne...

These are almost a week old, but I wanted to share some more pictures of the children at the park. It is such a blessing to have this park only a block and a half away. Which reminds me...need to get there once it cools down a little bit so the children can burn off more energy. :D Yes, they are all in the "baby" swings. The older two wanted to be in swings like Little E. But, it did make it easier on me. ;o) Next are a couple of pictures of our first zucchini from the garden. Don't know how I missed some of those! Don't mind what Big T is wearing....he picked it out himself. :D

(This is a somewhat of a repost from last year.) Today is our 6th wedding anniversary! So much has happened in six years, but we have been together for almost 9years! (In September it will be 9 years since our first date). So, I wanted to take time to share some pictures with you. I have divided them up into groups: our engagement and our wedding. I will first tell the story of our engagement. We had been together for 8 1/2 months when Hubby asked for my hand. And boy...was the proposal a good one. I had many friends jealous over this. That summer I was babysitting for 3 children and when I returned home from work I came home to an apartment filled (and I do mean FILLED!) with streamers and balloons. I think I had about a hundred balloons in my apartment and streamers were everywhere. On the table were a dozen yellow roses (one of my utmost favorites) and a box. What was inside that box you say......It was a gorgeous black dress that he picked out for me and instructions to put on th...

What do you think you can do with these items? Have fun of course!!!! Cut 4 sponges into 4 strips a piece. Stack them in checkerboard fashion Tie them with a string and you get these. Add a couple of children.... with a lot of water and have great summer fun. :D
