Asking for Prayer

Today I am writing this "request" for prayer for Big T. This morning during breakfast he vomited on the floor. We weren't sure if he was sick with something or his gag reflex kicked in from not wanting to eat. Anyway...I ran a couple more errands and while I was gone he vomited two more times. Well...during the course of the day he has thrown up 10 times and we were unsuccessful in getting him to keep any fluids down. Out of desperation we called the doctor (that was on call). It's frustrating because he isn't showing any other symptoms...no fever, diarrhea, or anything. He acts like his normal self until he feels like he needs to throw up. Anyway the doctor prescribed a suppository for him to try and keep the nausea down so we could get him something to drink. Well, we weren't sure about giving him this, but decided to try it out of desperation. (It was that or take him to the hospital for an IV treatment. ) So, it has been 3 hours since we gave him the suppository and he hasn't vomited even one time! But now we need to get fluids in him. He has only been able to get a couple of ounces down at the most. So please pray that we can get more fluids in him to prevent a trip to the ER this weekend.
***UPDATE**** We gave him a total of two doses of the suppository and he hasn't thrown up since the first dose. Praise the Lord! This morning he shared a Gatorade (yes...they had separate cups) and he had a few crackers. It's encouraging when he tells us he is hungry or thirsty. I am so happy that we did not have to go to the ER. Thank you all for your kind words and prayers. It is greatly appreciated.

Melanie, I will be praying. Sometimes if you are desparate, you can give them an enema. Often they will not expel it, but their colon will absorb it and get the fluids they need.

We thought of that but didn't know how he will react. We would definitely try that before taking him to the hospital. Thanks.

Bless his heart, you may never know what it was that hit him so hard all at once. Thank God he settled down and the "I'm hungry Mom" is always a good sign (wink).
Will keep him in my prayers too.
Sending hugs his way :)
