My Beloved

Look at what my wonderful Hubby did! I had a knock at the door and there was a surprise! 3 pink roses! Aren't they absolutely beautiful? And...what makes it even more special is that they were given to me "just because."

It is still hard to believe that Sweet E is now 2 years old. (let alone that Big T will soon be 4!) Here are a few pictures from our weekend. (I know...no pics of Sweet E, but I had a lot in the previous post). The first picture is of my Father with Little E sleeping. Then my sister and Little E decided to take a nap together. Aren't they cute? The last picture is of Big T playing "basegame." =) My dad and sister tried to teach him how to run bases, but he was only interested in hitting.

Last Saturday I had the chance to do something I had never done before. I put together a gingerbread house with my MIL and my children. My MIL made the gingerbread and then she had me help her assemble it and then decorate it. We didn't finish it all, but we hope to finish it this afternoon since she has the day off. I am pretty proud of myself. Next year maybe the children and I can do this as a school project/activity. So...here is the gingerbread house in all it's glory. I hope to post a finished

I did it!

Yes, I did get up at 5am this morning. Two days in a row, that is a HUGE deal for me. Let's see if I can keep this up (but probably not on Sundays). Tomorrow will be the test. I am not the type of person that can sleep in two days in a row and then get up on time through the week. I am going to try to only allow myself (at first) to sleep in one day a week. We will see how that goes. ;) But, my quiet time the past two mornings has been wonderful! It's amazing how it totally changes my day. Today I was thinking about smiling. Do you know that people are drawn to a smile? It's true. Think about it. When you are out in a store or just out on a walk...there is something about a smile from someone. I guess it gives me "hope" that there are actually people out there with joy in their heart. Gotta wonderful sometimes with all the scowls I see.
