Happy Thanksgiving!

"O, give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever." 1 Chronicles 16:34

"But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Corinthians 15:57

Our family has had a lot going on the past couple of weeks. One week Beloved and Special K went to the doctor and came out with 5 prescriptions between the two of them. Then on Friday (about 3 am) we rushed to the ER with Sweet E. Her face (on her left side) had swollen up so bad that she was screaming and crying in pain. So we took the other three children over to my in-laws and headed to the ER. No definite cause was determined. The ER doctor thought it had to do with her saliva gland and our family doctor thought it had to do with a lymph node. She was prescribed antibiotics and ibuprofen. (along with instructions to place a warm compress on her face every few hours). Praise the Lord, the swelling finally went down and it appears to be totally gone now. We are praying it doesn't come back. It could have happened when one of her brothers accidentally hit her in the jaw the night before or it could have been an obstruction somewhere. I guess we will never know for sure.

Our family has also been struggling spiritually and emotionally the past few months. I am not going into details, but we were under attack from the enemy. I can gladly say that we are doing very well now. God is so good and we are trying to follow his will for our family. So we have so many things to be thankful for on this Thanksgiving. Make sure to give your children, spouse, parents, etc. a great big hug today. And be sure to let them know how much they mean to you. You never know if you will get another chance.

So....Lord...thank you for sending your son to die for my sins. I don't deserve it. And thank you for giving me such a loving, caring, and giving husband. Oh...and for my sweet loving children. It's such a joy to see Big T growing into a fine young man....Sweet E, she is such a loving/caring little girl.....Little E, ornery just like his Papa...and Special K's smile will melt anyone's heart.

So count you blessings, name them one by one. :-) Have a great Thanksgiving!
