Count Your Blessings Monday (6/2)

"I am giving us an opportunity every Monday to not only count our blessings, but to share them with others. This is a way that we can encourage one another. Make a post on your blog telling us about your blessing. Please put a link back to this post (on her blog). You can add the URL of your blog post on Mr. Linky below. Many of our blessings we will have pictures of and we can share those as well. I think that many times we forget that it is a blessing to be able to breath, to get out of bed, to hold a baby... Share your blessings with us. They encourage others. We can share so many other things.... special gifts, recipes, let's take the time to share how God has blessed us!! -Marci"

I know it's Tuesday, but I didn't get a chance to post yesterday because Beloved had the day off. ;o) I wanted to share what a blessing it is to be able to homeschool my children. Big T will officially start Kindergarten this fall with me (If he went to PS he wouldn't be able to start next year). I think I have decided on what curriculum would work best for our family and I am saving up money now to purchase it. Here is a picture of the children finishing up a lesson on the stars. (We are unofficially doing preschool now..I say unofficially because we are not allways diligent about it. ) They know what planets, stars, constellations, and the milky way are. Sweet E loves to say the word constellations. They made their own constellations out of black paper and star stickers. They are hanging up in our kitchen with pride. They loved it! :D Oh...and one more thing. We decided on a "name" for our school. We are now called Pilgrim Pathway School of Discovery. ;) Long....I know, but we love it. :D

Dear Melanie,
Way to go Mommy. To love your kids so much and make the time to teach them fun things no matter the age is fabulous! I have two little ones of my own and would love to home school. In fact have also been doing a little with the letters, numbers, colors, shapes, and a lot about God. My three year old knows the Lord's prayer and is already starting to hide some small verses in his heart. It truly is a blessing to be a mommy no matter how exhosted I may be at times. (: Thank you for posting about your home school plans as it is quite encouraging for me. Sincerely (: (Mommy of two little ones)
