I can finally breath!

Oh my, this past week has been so busy. I feel like I can finally take a breath now. As you all know Sweet E's birthday was yesterday, but I have a lot to catch up on. Sunday we had our church service and then the service at the Retirement Home. Afterwards we were blessed to have dinner with Beloved's family and have a small "pre-birthday" bash. :D Oh, and I stayed up until 2:30 Sunday Morning to finish Sweet E's dress for the day. What was I thinking! Oh well, at least she likes it and so did everyone else.
This is what I had to stare at Saturday night. I love European patterns, but this is only my third time sewing something from Ottobre (You can find the link in my side bar) Anyway, this (see below) can be very intimidating when you want it ready for the next day.
What you are looking at are pattern pieces for roughly 6 patterns. You just have to follow the colored outline for the pattern you want. Simple enough? ;o) Well, here is the finished product along with the hat that Big T picked out for her.
I also wanted to show the cupcakes that Beloved decorated with jelly beans for her pre birthday bash. :D Also, in her words she "likes fire on her cake." We made sure that she had her pink cupcake, with pink icing, and a pink flower on top. :D
Okay, let's move to her actual birthday. I had a very busy day ahead. We had friends and my MIL coming over for dinner (My FIL wasn't feeling well.) Here is a picture of the "adults" table. Notice the pink flowers and the pink cups. (Big T said she wanted pink cups, so...we just had to have them.)
I made sure that I set out the special birthday plate at the children's table for her.
And of course, she had a pink daisy for her cake. She loved it and it was so much fun to make. The petals are actually Twinki*s. (which made it a lot easier to make)
Oh, I almost forgot to show the outfit I made for her birthday. Her is my first Redondo skirt and an appliqued shirt with a butterfly on front and the number 3 on back.

On Friday and Saturday I also made her some play dresses. All I did was take a t-shirt, cut a little off the bottom, and added a fabric skirt. And...voila! She has 3 new play dresses in less than an hour. :D

That is probably plenty to show for now. But I will have more pictures to show. :D Blessings to all!

What a pretty dress. I have been thinking of trying out Ottobre but now I may have just changed my mind. That looks daunting. I have enough trouble with Simplicity. LOL. Her party looks beautiful. I love all that pink!!! ;) Wish her a happy birthday from Chloe and I. Sorry we are late.
