A Couple of Projects

Image
So I am finally getting around to posting what Beloved and I made the other day. Here it is in all it's glory. LOL It's nothing spectacular. Just a bench. The chairs with our dining room table aren't holding up well. So we built this bench and it sure is sturdy! It can easily hold Big T, Sweet E and Little E. The children love it. We need to tweak the next one we make, but hope to get one made this weekend or so. Then I got tired of looking at this in my kitchen. The white curtains wouldn't aren't very white anymore. Plus it's sort of boring. I was wanting more of a 1940s color theme. I already have bright yellow walls so I went with blue and red for the curtains. I love the result. I would love to buy some more of this fabric. I found it at Marie-Madeline . It's from the American Retro line. Next up.....more sewing for Special K....I hope. I have the fabric washed I just need to get it cut out and sewed up. :-) Blessings to all!

I can't help it...

Happy Birthday Daddy!

I just wanted to wish my Daddy a Happy 55th birthday! Have a great weekend visiting in New York! We miss you and can't wait to see you!

Resurrection Day pictures ....Late...

Procrastinating seems to be a theme with me lately. But....we did have a great Resurrection day. It was beautiful and the children had a wonderful time playing outside. Big T is getting braver in climbing trees. He is having so much fun. They all love climbing in the trees at Nana and Papaw's. My sweet, sweet girls. All the grandchildren. A senior in high school all the way down to a 5 month old. :-D She's so silly. I hope everyone has a great weekend. It's cold now but it's supposed to be warmer tomorrow. And....only 28 days until the wedding!

I love pictures!

I do...I really do love pictures. Especially ones like this. Even if I am having a bad day Special K's smile just makes everything better. :-D The reason she was so happy... Because she was getting into all of the school stuff. :-) Then the next day she had fun opening her goodies up from Grandma and Papaw K. I love this little pink hat. It says "Little Sister." After the children opened up their goodies Beloved and I had work to do. Any guesses what we were doing? Any guesses? I will post what we made here later. :-)

Okay...here you go

For those of you that asked to see the skirt. I have pictures for you. I can't believe I am going to actually post these unflattering pictures. But at least my outfit and make-up look okay. I wanted to take these pictures to make sure my sister approved before I showed up at the wedding in this. :-D LOL (Never mind the multi-colored bracelet. It's from Upward Soccer but I use it for a nursing reminder. I won't wear it to the wedding...I promise.) I'm still not completely sold on the top but my Mom likes it and I trust her judgment with fashion more than mine. ;-) But I do LOVE this skirt. I love how it's flowy (I don't think that's a word) and that it is so long on me. It's so hard to find skirts that are long enough to my liking, but this one is plenty long. And I don't have to wear it low on my hips to make it long enough. (It can actually be worn at my natural waistline.) Which is really good so that the muffin top stays hidden a little better...
