We Are Alive!

Image
Yes, we are still alive. My sister gave me a hard time today for not updating my blogs (by the way...I did update our school one...so stop on by.) :-) So I just thought I would show some pictures from the past couple of weeks. First up is some yummy blueberry bread. It was delicious! Little E's first time playing in the snow....He is afraid of it! He hates being outside and having snow fly in his face. And he absolutely does not want to touch it! One of the biggest icicles I have ever seen! Yummy enchiladas! The children have taken an interest in the treadmill, curious what it is, because they see me use it almost everyday. Well, yesterday Beloved was done with his walk/run and I heard a strange noise. It was Little E's feet walking on the treadmill. (the bottom of his footed jammies where rubbing the belt on the treadmill.) He was having a great time. :-) And here is Beloved outside shoveling us out and prevented the city plows from burying our vehicles in. Too bad the window ...

Okay....

Let's see if I can get this posted. It's amazing as I look back at what I posted on Monday. I posted that God is good...all the time. Shortly after I posted this I got a phone call from Beloved. He was laid off. NCI cut 40% of the employees (which was already down to a skeleton staff). So please keep our family in your prayers as we move through yet another transition in our lives.

Count Your Blessings Monday

Image
"I am giving us an opportunity every Monday to not only count our blessings, but to share them with others. This is a way that we can encourage one another. Make a post on your blog telling us about your blessing. Please put a link back to this post ( on her blog ). You can add the URL of your blog post on Mr. Linky below. Many of our blessings we will have pictures of and we can share those as well. I think that many times we forget that it is a blessing to be able to breath, to get out of bed, to hold a baby... Share your blessings with us. They encourage others. We can share so many other things.... special gifts, recipes, let's take the time to share how God has blessed us!! - Marci " God is good.....ALL THE TIME! I have so much to thank the Lord for, but today I want to thank him for health. If you know our family you know my husband and I haven't taken very good of our bodies (physically, emotionally, and most importantly spiritually) over the past couple of yea...

Cabin Fever Already?

Image
It's hard to believe, but I think they have it. I am praising the Lord right now though because they are playing outside in the snow. It's their second time out today. Here is a picture for Sweet E getting bundled up to go outside yesterday. They had fun playing in the snow yesterday and were so excited to see that there was still some on the ground today. We are supposed to get more tonight and tomorrow depending on the low pressure system. It will either be ice or 3-5 inches of snow. I am voting for the snow ! After breakfast today I had these goofy faces staring at me. I just had to take some pictures. :-) Little E felt he needed to change hats though. :-) Well, better go. I have wet, slushy boots stomping through my house right now. ;-)

Family dinner

Image
The other night we had my IL's over for dinner. You can see that the children make sure they have some books read to them. :-) After dinner the children and Beloved showed their tower building skills to Nana and Grandpa (Nana says she hates Leg*s. LOL) So the just had to make the tower as tall as they could just for her. ;-) After this picture was taken I think the tower fell. They came so close to reaching the ceiling too. And of course...Little E. I tell ya, he is just too cute! :-)

Prayer Request

I have a very dear friend, Miss Ginny, that is having surgery today. Please pray that the surgery goes well and that she has a quick recovery time.
