Family Time

We had a good weekend, besides my sinuses acting up. :( I was supposed to see the midwife on Saturday, but she went out of town for the weekend. Which is fine with me. There is a lady that lives a couple of blocks from me that is due in a few weeks. So...if she has her baby early my midwife could just stop by here instead. Anyway....I wanted to share some pictures about our weekend.

Here is a picture of my wonderful Hubby reading books with Big T, Sweet E, and Little E. Isn't it precious! The children love books and always enjoy being read to.

We made biscuits for dinner last night and the children helped me. Sweet E wanted to cut all the biscuits out and put them in the pan herself. Of course...that caused a conflict because Big T wanted to do it too!

Here is a picture of Big T finally getting a chance to cut out a few biscuits of his own. I realized that I need to let the children help me more in food preparation. It is "easier" when they are out of the way, but then they don't learn anything. So, I am trying my best to let them help out more. It is amazing what children can do when you give them the chance. Well...I am off to start my laundry and let my children help. Blessings to all!
**UPDATE: God has blessed us with unexpected funds to help fix one of our vehicles! Praise the Lord! Now I won't have to be without the van!

Illness and Ouchies

Well...we have had an interesting start to our week. In the early hours of Monday morning Sweet E woke up 2 different times and had thrown up in her bed. She seemed perfectly fine and I took her to a local store. We were inside for maybe 2 minutes and she threw up again. So....I got her home and let her take a nice LONG bath. Then we didn't have any problems the rest of the day. Today....she didn't seem quiet like herself, but no big deal. Them about 7:45 this evening she threw up again. But now she is running around like it never happened. Both boys appear to be fine. Now...here is were the Ouchies come in. On Monday afternoon when Sweet E was sleeping, Little E fell onto something. It took the top layer of the skin on his lip off and cut his gums. I still don't know what happened exactly. He had a pretty big lip for the rest of the day. The swelling is barely even noticeable today. So..how is everyone else's week going? ;)

Yesterday I was in our side yard raking up a pile of leaves for Sweet E to play in and I saw something out of the corner of my eye. It was bright red. I looked down and saw three bright red objects in the grass. I picked them up....I have never seen these before. We are thinking they may possibly be wild strawberries, but are unsure since we have no prior experience with them. (really have no clue as to what they actually are.)
