Grieving...

Image
I have been struggling with whether or not to write this. Since I decided to write something I have been struggling with what to write. Most people know that I had a miscarriage a couple of months ago. At first the pregnancy seemed to be going just fine, but there was always something. Some feeling that I had that things weren't the way they should be. After a few weeks I went in and had an ultrasound. All I can say is it's pure torture to have your ultrasound done on a Thursday and have to wait till Monday for the results. Anyway, the ultrasound confirmed my suspicions. Even though I felt like something wasn't right it didn't make it any easier. I would have been ten weeks a couple of days after the miscarriage. And I know people meant well, but a lot of people just made things worse. My emotions were all over the place. I never really got a chance to grieve. I felt forced to push through and just move on with life. I know I needed to take time to grieve. Time to cry ...

Baby Girls All Around!

Image
I just had to say what a wonderful time of year. Not just because the holidays are coming up, but because of all the new baby girls (and a baby boy too!) First was Beloved's cousin...she had a little boy two days before Baby K was born. Then yesterday a friend had her first baby (a girl) and her cousin followed suit about 3 hours later! Just many more things to be thankful for. Oh how fun it would be to get all those babies together, but sadly we all live in different states. God is so good! I just had to share that. :-) I should add that while Baby K is my fourth child this is the first for the other three Mamas. May the Lord bless you all on the wonderful journey of Motherhood that is ahead of you. :-)

She's beautiful

Image
Of course you all already know that. It is hard for me to believe that she will be 4 weeks old tomorrow. It has gone by so fast and they only stay this small for such a very short time. And can you believe I have taken a lot of pictures of Baby K since she was born? I know...it's hard to believe isn't it. LOL But I wanted to show some pictures that are not necessarily the best ones, but they are pretty funny. At least they are to me. :-) And then we have a pic of Papa with his pretty girl. :-) And one of Little E because I think it's funny he fell asleep on the dining room table. :-) I forgot something.....see if you can see what is wrong in the pic of Little E. :-)

Waiting....

Image
as patiently as possible. My due date is this Wednesday. My children have never been early. So I am looking at anywhere from tomorrow the the beginning of next week. But I much prefer sooner than later. :-D Right now I am procrastinating on doing work....Why?! Why do I do this to myself? Bless the Schwartz girls for coming over and helping but the very next day you would never even know that they were here. I need to get my sewing room in order at least so people don't have to trip over things when they need to get upstairs. So...one more thing I want to do before I get to work. I wanted to share some pictures. Up first are some pictures from the soccer games Saturday. Let me just say...it was freezing!!!! The children love helping set everything up for soccer. Here is Big T helping Mr. R get the tent put together for the run through. The boys working on getting the sound system ready. Papaw Krumme a nd Little E trying to stay warm. Big T's team running out the "tunnel...

Soccer and Preparation

Image
Preparation......that is a word at the top of our family's vocabulary right now. We are busy cleaning, decluttering, reorganizing, etc to get ready for blessing #4's arrival. I can't believe my due date is exactly 3 weeks from today. I have a long way to go on our to do list, but I pray that we can get the majority of it done in time. On Monday we were able to have soccer practice (the Saturday games were cancelled due to rain. the children were so sad) But...practice was freezing! It's hard enough when it's cold and windy, but when it's cloudy on top of that....it seems even colder. I did capture a few pictures of practice on Monday. Coach and the thick skinned Little Cobras. :-) Not real sure what little Miss S was doing, but she was having fun. :-) Little E kept warm by playing on the swings/slide, joining the Little Cobras scrimmage, and walking in between Big T and Sweet E's practices. Wish I could have felt warmer. I just pray the rain holds off for S...

Summertime!

Image
I know...it isn't technically summer, but I consider June the summer season. A lot is going on but I just wanted to take a minute to share a couple of pictures. First up is a picture of my garden. I am pretty happy with it. We have 9 raised beds now and next year I hope to have more. :-) Here is a link to my post about the first garden at had at this house. Only 2 raised beds....it has come a long way. :-) Next up is just a photo of me at 21 weeks. It's amazing how fast time goes by. Soon Big T will be 6, the garden will need harvesting, and then the baby will be here. So...that's all...just a couple of pictures. :-) Hope you are all having a blessed week.

A lot of Excitement!

Yesterday I went to see my wonderful midwife for the first time. Everything looks good and after about 15 minutes and 2 tries I finally got to hear my little ones heart beating. This baby was playing hide and seek and the midwife and I were loosing. I can't believe how long it took, but it reminded me of Big T. He was the exact same way. :-) Also...I wanted to quickly say congratulations to my cousin on the birth of her first child. A beautiful baby girl. (No..I haven't seen a picture, but all babies are beautiful.) Well, I better get some work done. Hopefully I will get around to posting more pictures soon. :-) Blessing to all!

Congratulations Brian and Sabrina!

I just received news that my best friend from "school days" just had her first child....a baby girl ! Her name is Mikaela and she weighed a whopping 9 lbs 5 oz and was 20 inches long. That is one big baby. Congratulations again to Brian and Sabrina....and to Jane ...I know she will be an awesome Grandma. =) Can't wait to hold her. ;)

Nope...Not yet

Image
As you can tell...I haven't had the baby yet. Just still waiting around. I think this is the biggest I have been out of my 3 pregnancies. Although I never really got "huge." I have such a long torso that I don't really show all that much until right before the baby is born. Hubby wanted a picture of my belly the other night...so I let him. I don't think I got a belly shot with DD. I think I did with DS, but have no idea where it is. It's just a waiting game. As it usually is with my pregnancies. That's okay I guess. I just pray when it is time the roads won't be icy so the midwife can make it here safely and on time! I have also been asked about the progress of my son's blanket. Well.. Here is a picture taken today. I have 77 rows done. 93 rows left to do. I couldn't figure out why the pictures were kind of hazy when I downloaded them all from the camera. Come to find out there was a nice "fingerprint" on the lense. I think one of the...
