Candle By Night

I know I haven't been around much lately, but I wanted to show a wonderful package that Anna sent me a few weeks ago. :D I was part of a "magic yarn ball" swap on her forum. So...here are some pics of what she sent. So...here is the lovely box with all the goodies. Interesting title, isn't it? ;) Well, first off I wanted to show the doily I made for Sweet E's hope chest. My plan is to make her something every year for her birthday to put in her hope chest. So far she has three doilies (and some thread dresses that I made for her.) Isn't the hook I crocheted it with gorgeous! Thanks Amy ! Next is Little E's newest trick. I just think it is hilarious! Next, is a project that the children did. What can you do with icing, cardstock, M&M's and candy eggs? Make bumblebees of course!

I finished this awhile ago, but am just now able to share with you. Sweet E really likes it and I hope you do to. It's really quick and easy AND the yarn I used is nice and cozy. I know it has been few and far between...my posts I mean. Our couples night went really well I think. Everyone seemed to have a good time. When everyone came in they were "greeted" with candlelight and a lighted arch which lead the way to the tables. The tables were decorated beautifully, with the help from Mrs. M. =) There were 13 handmade doilies...one for each couple to take home. As for those of you who were wondering....they are all PK doilies. My grandfather did end up having 3 bypasses and as of yesterday was doing well. Now the "real" test starts. They are going to start weaning him off of his pain medication and that means he will start feeling worse. My mom is flying home Friday and my aunt is going down to Florida on Friday to help my step-grandma and grandpa for a week. Then...last night my Hubby was on the phone for 130 minutes! With who you ask? He was talking with his friend "A" (whose Dad died last week). "A" is really feeling convicted by the Lord (we believe)...now it is just up to him to decide. God is working in his heart and "A" just needs to realize his need for our Lord and Saviour. It was a great conversation though. Although...we are tired today, but I would much rather loose sleep over that then something else! On the crocheting front...I have a total of 7 doilies done for our couples night and I got supplies yesterday from UPS (FINALLY!) to start a shawl I hope to ...

As you can tell...I haven't had the baby yet. Just still waiting around. I think this is the biggest I have been out of my 3 pregnancies. Although I never really got "huge." I have such a long torso that I don't really show all that much until right before the baby is born. Hubby wanted a picture of my belly the other night...so I let him. I don't think I got a belly shot with DD. I think I did with DS, but have no idea where it is. It's just a waiting game. As it usually is with my pregnancies. That's okay I guess. I just pray when it is time the roads won't be icy so the midwife can make it here safely and on time! I have also been asked about the progress of my son's blanket. Well.. Here is a picture taken today. I have 77 rows done. 93 rows left to do. I couldn't figure out why the pictures were kind of hazy when I downloaded them all from the camera.
