Candle By Night

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God - Philippians 4:6  Why? Is it all part of becoming an adult? Of being a homeowner is more like it. I never seemed to have this problem until last year. Something will happen (that I can't control) and my stomach starts to turn and my heart races. Just like last night. Nothing big. We just have a drippy faucet in the shower. About a year ago my husband tightened a screw or something and fixed it, but it was late last night so he just shut off the hot water to the shower. Well, it got me to thinking of a leaking pipe (that goes to the outside) we have and all the pipes that we should replace soon. (No others are leaking, but it would be a good idea...you know?) All I can see is money dripping out of the faucets (A "perk" of living in town). If we had well water I probably wouldn't fret about it so.  Like I said, it's nothing I can do. ...

God for providing for our family. I can say our debts (minus the mortgage anyway) are paid off. We paid of the ER bill (the biggest bill) off this week. It felt so good! We thought it would take a long time to pay these bills off and with a surprise blessing they are taken care of! So I just wanted to share that with you all. ;-) And during this blessed week of reflection on God's love, goodness, grace, and forgiveness we are constantly trying to figure out what is best for our family. I guess you could call them traditions. Of course any time I hear the word tradition I think of this song. I just can't help it. ;-) (just make sure to shut off the music in the side bar).   We don't do the Santa thing with our children. That's our choice. We don't spend a ton of money on gifts for everyone in the family either (not like we could if we wanted to. LOL) For a few years we didn't celebrate Christmas at all. We would attend family gatherings but that was it. I don...

I just realized I hadn't given an update about Chloe. She had her scan done the other week and no seizure activity was found. Praise the Lord...now what is causing this....not sure. I haven't had a chance to ask Anna more about it. BUT...the main concern now is Anna's brother. Here are two articles to give a quick run down on what has happened. ( Ski resort employee found injured and Resort employee rescued ) From what I understand his injuries were not too terribly bad considering all that had transpired. The concern now is that he is running a fever and the doctors do not know why. He has bleeding in his brain and is refusing to eat or drink anything given to him. So if you could continue your prayers for Anna and the rest of her family during this time...I know it would be greatly appreciated. Blessings to you all. **Just received an update that he ate dinner last night. Praise the Lord!**

I just wanted to give a quick update for everyone about sweet little Chloe. Anna, her Mama, thinks she had another seizure last night (but she said it was different from the others). So she isn't exactly sure what was going on. And besides that the poor sweetheart was waking up every 20-30 minutes with night terrors. Please continue to keep this family in your prayers and that the doctor's can figure out what is going on with this little angel.

I am asking that everyone please keep this precious child of God in their prayers. As some of you may remember Chloe and her Mama, Anna , came to visit us about this time last year. Their first night here little Chloe had her first seizure. Let me just say I never thought, in a million years, that I would find a police office coming up the stairs in my home and an ambulance outside.....ever. I know it was more than frightening for Anna as well as her husband was deployed at the time. It was a struggle just to get a hold of him. Well...fast forward a year....Anna's husband is deployed once again and in the past couple of weeks Chloe has had 2 more seizures. The second one was just this morning. I know Anna is waiting to hear back from the neurologist on what steps to take now that this second one has occurred so close to the previous one. So please....please...keep little Chloe (She is about 1 week older than Sweet E) and especially her Mama, Anna, in your prayers. I know it is hard...

I have a very dear friend, Miss Ginny, that is having surgery today. Please pray that the surgery goes well and that she has a quick recovery time.

There has been a lot of sewing going on lately. I made pajama pants for Big T last week, his Jungle, "H" sewed a nightgown for Sweet E and today I made a skirt for myself. Now..I just have to decide whether I am going to make a dress for Sweet E, a jumper, or a skirt. Hmmmm...have to think about that one for a while. I just wanted to give an update...some people were curious. I have been dealing with my angry spirit creeping back in. I had it controlled a couple of years ago, but have let myself get further from the Lord and it creeped back in. Over the past few weeks the Lord has helped me to control my anger. I have my moments, but the Lord is working through me and I know that he will change me for the better. So...for all of you who have been praying for me...Thank you. It means a lot. :D
