Not Again!

**Another Update- It appears that all three children have various levels of a fever and Beloved and I are both feeling poorly** Yes, sickness is once again in our home. After less than a week of none (well...hubby is still on antibiotics, so I guess it never really left) it is back again. Big T slept in a little bit and when he woke up he sounded like he had mucous that he needed to cough up. By 10:00 this morning he had already fallen asleep (when he sleeps that early in the day you know he doesn't feel well). Before he fell asleep his temp was about 100.2 and after he woke up from his nap it was up to 102.4. He has been "quarantined" to our bedroom and his temp went up another degree. I gave him ibuprofen but it seemed hard for him to get down. Not sure if he has a sore throat or what. So, prayers are much appreciated. **Update- It now appears that Sweet E may have something to. She has a low grade fever as of right now** We have been to the doctor. At these point none

The Homeschool Lounge

I am just starting on my journey of homeschooling but I wanted to let others know about a forum that just started called the Homeschool Lounge . As I said...it's just starting, but it looks like it will be a great place to share and learn new things. So...go check it out. :D

Week 4

Yes, we are now into week 4 of being sick in this house. Big T and I are almost completely over our colds, but now Beloved has it. He woke up this morning with a fever and just feels terrible. Poor guy didn't feel good all weekend. I had purchased some very good coffee from Mr. Bill's for his birthday. When he fixed himself a cup of coffee...with a whine he said, "I can't smell it!" Poor guy couldn't even smell his coffee! He went to work for a half day today, but came home for rest because he just feels so bad. (and I feel bad because his birthday is Wednesday) Big T and Beloved are sharing some resting time together as they watch a DVD of Little House on the Prairie. Sweet E and Little E still have some chest congestion, but the fevers have subsided and they are slowly getting better. I pray everyone will be better because our 2nd try for the Creation Museum is on Monday. Thanks to all the sickness the home schooling as been practically non-existent. As

Show and Tell Friday (2/15)

Image
Welcome to "Show and Tell Friday!" Do you have a something special to share with us? It could be a trinket from grade school, a piece of jewelry, an antique find. Your show and tell can be old or new. Use your imagination and dig through those old boxes in your closet if you have to! Feel free to share pictures and if there's a story behind your special something, that's even better! We are all still sick around here. Little E now has chest congestion, runny nose, and fever and so does Sweet E. Big T is slowly getting over his illness and I am trying to get over mine. But...I posted today for show and tell. Not to give a full detail of all the illnesses. ;) I realized I never took time to show Little E's birthday cake. He got two. Both were monkey cakes but one was chocolate cake with buttercream icing and the other was a giant Rice Krispi* treat with ganache icing. YUM! Sorry I don't have a pic of the chocolate one...the brown was buttercream brown was ligh

Jammie Day

Yes, if you came by my home today you would see everyone still in their jammies. Yes, I do know that it is almost 1 pm, but we still have sickness in the home. Sunday Big T was coughing a lot and had a slight runny nose. (So I kept him home from church) That night he was restless and couldn't sleep. We finally get comfortable and we here another child gasping for air. As I went to investigate I found that it was Sweet E. Poor little thing has croup...so our nights have been with very little sleep. Little E has 2 teeth trying to come through right now...so that makes him cranky and hard to tell if some things he does is due to that or if he is getting sick as well. To top it all off I know have a cold. So...besides being tired from very little sleep the past 3 nights...I am tired because of this head cold. Praise the Lord that the "brunt" of this happened yesterday when Beloved had the day off. So I just wanted to give everyone another update and let you know not to stop b

Birthday Boy

(This is the outfit I made for his birthday. The shirt is RTW, ready-to-wear, with an appliqué on the front and back. I made the pants and added the patch to the front and the E on the back.)

Happy Birthday Little E!

Wow, it's amazing to think that a whole year has come and gone. You can scroll through the February '07 posts here . He has changed so much. To think that he is walking is just so amazing. God has given me a great blessing with my children. I wouldn't trade being a Mama for anything! (Oh...and I hope to share pics of the birthday boy later today or tomorrow. ) HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY LITTLE E!!!! MAMA LOVES YOU!!

So much for....

everyone being healthy. When hubby went to check on Little E this morning....he discovered that he had thrown up sometime during the night. Just in time for his 1st birthday. ARGHH!

21 days....

Okay the new countdown to our trip is 21 days. Yesterday we still had some of the family sick....so...obviously we didn't go today. We were all hoping to get to go. Oh well....life happens. Now I am just praying we can all stay well to go on the 25th. :D Just thought I would update. ;)

Once again...

We have a child sick. Big T threw up yesterday...first thing in the morning....and then nothing else the rest of the day. This morning he ran in our room...said "Papa, I feel sick" before Beloved could say anything....Big T threw up on him. Yuck! What a way to wake up. He threw up a few more times upstairs (after having 2 showers) and got sick a couple of times downstairs. Now..he is eating and acting like it never happened again. I will be watching them (all the children) closely. The children would be so disappointed if we couldn't take our trip on Monday. Hopefully no one else will get sick so we can go.
