Waiting....

as patiently as possible. My due date is this Wednesday. My children have never been early. So I am looking at anywhere from tomorrow the the beginning of next week. But I much prefer sooner than later. :-D Right now I am procrastinating on doing work....Why?! Why do I do this to myself? Bless the Schwartz girls for coming over and helping but the very next day you would never even know that they were here. I need to get my sewing room in order at least so people don't have to trip over things when they need to get upstairs. So...one more thing I want to do before I get to work. I wanted to share some pictures. Up first are some pictures from the soccer games Saturday. Let me just say...it was freezing!!!! The children love helping set everything up for soccer. Here is Big T helping Mr. R get the tent put together for the run through. The boys working on getting the sound system ready. Papaw Krumme a nd Little E trying to stay warm. Enjoying a Beautiful Autumn Day

Wow...it's been over 70 degrees today and I have been trying to enjoy it as much as I can. I finished raking up the leaves for the city to take (well, I raked the ones outside of the fence for the city. The ones inside will be used for my garden.) The children have enjoyed the weather today as well. Sweet E, I don't really know what to say about her outfit. She picked it out herself...makes me think "flower child." It looks like Little E isn't sure about her outfit either. :o) Later this afternoon the children and I decided to build a hut. Yep, a hut. Here are the materials that we used. The newspapers, tape, and staples went from that....to this. Add a sheet and you have your very own hut! They are very happy with it and so am I. It will keep them outside for a while. ;o)

What better way to start the season then to have a doughnut and cider party! :D Remember all those apples I canned last week? Well there were still plenty of apples left over, so a family in our church graciously had everyone over for a get together. They made fresh doughnuts and cider. Here is a picture of the ladies getting the doughnuts made. Here are the doughnuts being fried up...it smelled heavenly in that kitchen. ;o) And then about half of the doughnuts after they had been glazed. They were delicious! While I was inside near the doughnuts ;o) Beloved was outside helping with the cider. We had 2 presses and I think almost everyone helped out. We even had popcorn popped over a fire. So much food and great fellowship. It was a wonderful evening. Oh, and after everyone had some doughnuts, cider and popcorn most of us went for a ride on a hay wagon. The children, and adults, had a lot of fun. Although we should have made a stop at Marci's house to serenade Josh before they left ...
