I apologize that I haven't been around for a week or so. But here is the reason why.....
No, they aren't bananas and peaches. Instead...the boxes are filled with......
APPLES! That's right....4 bushels. I know, I know...I am insane for tackling 4 bushels alone, but I did. Here is a pick of my first batch of apple butter being put in the crockpot for the night.
After a couple of days of some work and one of them included me being up for 24 hours! Yes, I got in bed at 7 am Saturday morning as Beloved was getting out of bed. Here is a pick of all of my hard work (minus one pint of apple butter and a few quarts of applesauce.)
So I roughly canned 40 quarts of applesauce and some pints and half pints of apple butter. Yummy! Now that the apples are done I hope to post more. Blessings to all. :D
Welcome to "Show and Tell Friday!" Do you have a something special to share with us? It could be a trinket from grade school, a piece of jewelry, an antique find. Your show and tell can be old or new. Use your imagination and dig through those old boxes in your closet if you have to! Feel free to share pictures and if there's a story behind your special something, that's even better! This week I wanted to Show off Big T's latest adventure. Last week he attended Bible school and Grandma S' church. The theme was Avalanche Rance and I know there are a LOT of churches doing this one. It fit him perfectly since he has a love of horses. So I just wanted to share a few pictures from the last night of Bible school....or as Big T calls it, Cowboy School . ;) Here is a picture of Little E and Grandpa S waiting for the program to start. The next two pictures are of the children standing up front. Not good pictures, but you can tell they all have the "deer in the...
Well...we have had an interesting start to our week. In the early hours of Monday morning Sweet E woke up 2 different times and had thrown up in her bed. She seemed perfectly fine and I took her to a local store. We were inside for maybe 2 minutes and she threw up again. So....I got her home and let her take a nice LONG bath. Then we didn't have any problems the rest of the day. Today....she didn't seem quiet like herself, but no big deal. Them about 7:45 this evening she threw up again. But now she is running around like it never happened. Both boys appear to be fine. Now...here is were the Ouchies come in. On Monday afternoon when Sweet E was sleeping, Little E fell onto something. It took the top layer of the skin on his lip off and cut his gums. I still don't know what happened exactly. He had a pretty big lip for the rest of the day. The swelling is barely even noticeable today. So..how is everyone else's week going? ;)

Feel free to share pictures and if there's a story behind your special something, that's even better! Yesterday I was in our side yard raking up a pile of leaves for Sweet E to play in and I saw something out of the corner of my eye. It was bright red. I looked down and saw three bright red objects in the grass. I picked them up....I have never seen these before. We are thinking they may possibly be wild strawberries, but are unsure since we have no prior experience with them. (really have no clue as to what they actually are.) And...what in the world would they be doing in the yard at the end of October! I just wanted to share pictures to see what everyone else thought. I thought it wa...
