Corndog Casserole

Okay..there is probably something like this out there already, but I just wanted to share one of my "newest" creations that has turned into a favorite with my family. I came up with this because I purchased a lot of hot dogs because we were planning on having a family over for a cook out. Well...that is the week I hurt my back badly so they didn't come and I ended up with 20+ hot dogs to deal with. Well I came up with this little casserole that every one likes. I have even made it twice in a week and a half.
First I cut the hot dogs into quarters lengthwise and place them in the bottom of the greased dish.
Then I placed the dish in the hot oven while I mixed up my homemade cornbread. Once I had that made I sprinkled the hot dogs with shredded cheese and then the cornbread.

Here is a picture of the finished product that my whole family loves! The first time I made it I put baked beans in the dish and topped it with the hot dogs and then cornbread. Hubby likes it with the baked beans, but the children prefer it with the shredded cheese instead. Will definitely be making this dish again!

What a nifty creation! And thrifty, too.

Yeah...I think I used about 10 hotdogs or so each time. Sorry it's not real detailed...I just winged it. Just make sure you grease your pan!
